I own a 2004, Dodge 2500 4x4, auto tranmsission, with the Cummins 5.9 engine. Mainly use it for an around town drive and have 25,000 miles on the truck, and get about 21 mpg. I am considering replacing the transmission, and differential fluids with a synthetic like Royal Purple. How do I tell what front (C205F or 9 1/4AA) and rear axle (9 1/4, 10 1/2, or 11 1/2) I have so I know which fluid to buy (75-90 or 75-140)?

I am also considering replacing the stock air cleaner with the Banks ram system and possibly adding the Banks chip to get me some power options. Anyone had any bad experiences with Banks? How will these mods afffect my around town MPG's. Thanks for the help.

I would put the fluids back in it that the factory put in.

As a programmer EFI Live is the way to go.
