Most won't take more than $11-12,000 on a trade in, some would go even less. If it was an auction bought vehicle? That would be hard to say. I do know of some dealer ships won't sell their vehicles unless they make at least $5,000 on top of what they paid for, and that is including any repairs. This is why why local dealerships take their trade ins and sell them at the auction. The local public is not usually allowed access to them. For fear that a friend or a neighbor that knows the truck tries to lowball them.
