In 2002 my lift pump began to fail so at one of our diesel meets I installed a carter pump in line. At the time we left the original lift pump on the engine and the carter relay was triggerd by the original lift pump. This worked great until last week when the carter finally failed. I guess 11 years is a lot for a small electric pump to work. I ordered a new carter pump and installed it today and replaced the relay.:( For some reason now nothing triggers the relay and I am not getting any fuel to run engine. What would I need to do to completely bypass the original lift pump and have the carter relay triggered? I am at a loss and know it is probably something simple that I am overlooking. Thanks for any help in advance.
