I recently bought a 96 2500 cummings four wheel drive. Sometimes when i hit a bump the front end of my truck shakes so bad it feels like the tires are going to fall off. It shakes the steering wheel and i have to stop, and then i can start driving again. I was hoping someone could tell me what is wrong with my truck.
It's called the Dodge death wobble, there's a part you can buy which ties the steering box and the steerring shock { I think} to the frame. Had to put one on my 01 when I had it, but havn't had any problems with my 07 yet.
be sure to have the front end looked at first for any suspension/steering components that may have play/looseness
Let us know if we can help you get the parts you need.
