I have a 2009 f-250 6.4 diesel truck and I’m loosing coolant and can’t figure out where it’s going.I never see any coolant on the ground. When I fill it up it will take 10-15 minutes before the temperature gauge will even move, the heat doesn’t work properly goes hot cold when I take the over flow cap off to fill it will still have pressure. There is no coolant getting in the oil either. I bought this truck used so I don’t know if it has been modified but I do think some after market work has been done. Any ideas???

Check exhaust for coolant, fill it up and turn your radiator cap upside down and see if it dances, if it does I'd look at head gasket
