I have a 2010 Ram HD with the 6.7 Cummins diesel. I pull a 36 ft. 5th wheel RV. Pulls great on small hills but will be trying it out crossing the Smokies and the Ozarks. Any advice on what to expect will be appreciated....John
Make sure you know your rout. You will be fine. Make sure you get good speed before you go up the hill, you will save fuel. Going down long grades you might need an exhaust break. or just learn your owners manuel to see what you can and can't do with your transmission in that tip of environment. Ram transmissions are not the strongest, but you should be fine. Have fun going up and over the Smokies!
