cummins swap

has anyone done a cummins swap into a 2006 regular cab short bed? id like to put a 5.9 24 valve into my 06 which currently has the hemi and do the body kit for an srt10 but badge it as an srt6. ive seen a quad cab done like this in a diesel magazine. i think itd be a good project and have never seen it been done. so far im thinking itd probably be best to find a wrecked one and swap everything out but if i just bought the engine i know id need: wiring harness, tranny, custom driveshaft, rear end, and engine mounts. any comments on the idea? can it even be done in a regular cab 1500?
