personally i wash the vehicle using a foam cannon, claybar it, rewash, polish if i need to, then put on a sealant such as Zaino, then top it off with a boutique wax such as DoDo Juice (depending on color of the vehicle dicatates which dodo juice i will use) i use the wax on topo of the sealant to amplify the effects of the metallic or the pearl that is in the paint.

I personally don't go that far when washing my truck. I will use some Blur Coral soap, and wax it with some Meguiar's from time to time. My truck gets used in dirt too much to get too anal about it.

Right now my main concern is all the rock chips on the rocker panels, some of which are starting to get down to bare metal around the wheels. To fix that, I am going to line the rockers on the entire truck.

honestly this was pretty much my ritual for my 300c. that was the only way to keep it up to show specs. thats why the car always glimmered like diamonds (well the pearl and the 5 coats of clear didnt help either)

polish the vehicle with a buffer and a good quality polish not a compound... that would be bad
