Default Here is what we have in GMC's All-Terrain X Package for the 2017 Sierra

GMC has rolled out the All-Terrain X package for the 2017 Sierra 2500HD - and it comes with 910lb-ft of Duramax diesel torque. This story is originally published at TorqueNews.com, written by Patrick Rall and reprinted here with permission on both the site and this forum.

General Motors has just announced the new All Terrain X package for the 2017 GMC Sierra HD, which includes an array of off-road friendly modifications and the optional Duramax diesel – packing 910lb-ft of torque into this aggressive-looking sport package.

The GMC brand has previously offered their limited edition All Terrain X package for the Canyon and Sierra 1500, but for the 2017 model year, this sporty off-road package comes to the Sierra 2500HD. While the unique features of this package are predominantly aesthetic, the sum of the parts is a heavy duty pickup that offers more off-road capability than any Sierra HD before it.

“The new Sierra HD All Terrain X’s powerful attitude reflects a popular trend in very capable off-road trucks, executed with a range-topping level of refinement — a combination of attributes GMC has cultivated for years,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing. “And with the new, available Duramax 6.6L, this truck more than matches its bold good looks with true professional-grade capability.”

Sierra HD All Terrain X
The new 2017 GMC Sierra All Terrain X begins as a 2500HD crew cab with four wheel drive and the buyer’s choice of the 6.0L gasoline engine or the 6.6L Duramax diesel. To enhance the off-roading ability, the All-Terrain X package adds 18 inch black painted aluminum wheels wrapped in LT275/65R18 Goodyear Duratrac MT-rated tires, an underbody shield, an Eaton locking rear differential and the Z71 off-road suspension package.

Next, the All-Terrain X package has a big impact on the exterior appearance of the Sierra 2500HD, adding a unique body-color grille surround with All Terrain insert, body-color door handles, black power-adjustable heated and power-folding trailering mirrors, black belt moldings, front bumper skid plate and B-pillars, 4 inch black sport side steps, a spray-on bedliner and a black sport bar mounted in the bed with the All-Terrain logo stamped into the sides in red.

The 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD All-Terrain X is offered in Summit White, but the truck just looks so great in Black Onyx, that everyone should order this truck in its fully blacked-out form.

I haven’t had a chance to see the 2500HD All-Terrain X in person, but I have recently tested the Sierra 1500 All-Terrain X and in my opinion, this is the best looking package for any of the General Motors pickups. The blacked-out look is sinister and while this isn’t an extreme off-road package – it is more capable than the vast majority of Ύ ton trucks sold in America.
