Default Engine sputters and dies at idle after highway driving...

Engine initially starts normally. Drive on the highway for 25 miles, reached destination with no problems, turn engine off for 20 minutes.
Restarting took a slight bit longer than usual. Runs fine, then 25 minutes into the drive feels a bit jerky on the highway.
Engine sputters and dies at idle after getting off the highway. Won't even stay running in park. If I push on the accelerator to keep it running then I would hear something tapping under the hood. I pull into a parking lot, let it sit for 15 minutes, then it starts up prefect and runs perfect like nothing ever happened, which makes me think it's not a bad injector.

I suspect the Larry B's overflow valve that I installed some time back. It's design is drastically different than the stock overflow valve which seem to not exist as an available part anymore. Does anybody have any ideas as to what might have malfunctioned in that moment? It has occurred once before in town after a very hard acceleration to keep the injectors clean.
